Gloucestershire County Council is resurfacing the A436, between the Air Balloon and Oxford Cottages, between 22 and 31 October, with drainage work, being conducted by Amey simultaneously, not due to be completed until 9 November.
This very busy stretch of the A436 is nearing the end of its life expectancy and requires resurfacing. The essential resurfacing, along the 12,093 square metre stretch, will take place be between 7pm and 7am to minimise disruption.
Meanwhile, the drainage work will take place between 22 October and 9 November, from 9:30am till 3:30pm. This daytime work will utilise temporary traffic lights, so you can expect some delays.
Cllr Paul Hodgkinson, Lib Dem Group Leader and local member for Bourton on the Water and Northleach, said, “This stretch of road is very busy, and a lot of commuters and residents rely on it being in good condition. I have pushed the County Council to resurface this road and I’m glad to see it finally getting some attention.”
